Frequently asked questions

How are cleaners verified?

Every cleaner submits a government photo ID and a live selfie that must match before they can take a single job. Background screening runs before their profile goes live. Profiles that fail either step never appear on the platform.

How do I pay?

Directly to your cleaner — cash, Zelle, Venmo, whatever you two agree on. MangoMop never touches your money and never adds a markup to your price. The platform charges the cleaner a 1% commission (0.5% on recurring visits), which is why prices here aren't inflated.

What if something is damaged or goes missing?

Every visit has a timestamped, geolocated check-in and check-out, so there is always a record of who was in your home and when. Report an issue within 48 hours of the visit and our dispute process freezes the cleaner's standing while we review it. For theft claims we ask for a police report — that protects honest cleaners from false claims and gives your case real weight. We also recommend keeping valuables put away, as with any home service.

What if my cleaner cancels?

For recurring cleanings we instantly propose the best available replacement in your area — and you keep the right to say no. One-time cleanings reopen for new offers automatically. Cleaners who cancel often are ranked down and eventually removed.

Can I cancel a cleaning?

Yes, from your account at any time. Cancelling less than 12 hours before the visit affects your customer rating — cleaners see reliability both ways.

Why do cleaners review customers?

Mutual reviews keep the marketplace respectful in both directions: great customers get faster, better offers, and cleaners can commit with confidence. It is the same trust system, applied fairly to everyone.

What does it cost to post a cleaning?

Nothing. Posting is free, comparing offers is free, and there is no subscription. The platform earns a 1% commission from the cleaner only when a cleaning actually happens.

What areas do you serve?

All of Florida. Post from any Florida ZIP (320xx–349xx) and vetted local cleaners in your area send offers. Coverage is deepest in the metros — Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville — and grows as more cleaners join.

I'm a cleaner — can I get my prepaid balance back?

Yes. Unused balance can be refunded to the original card within 30 days of the top-up — write to info@mangomop.com from your account e-mail. Balance already used or on hold for commissions is not refundable; balance older than 30 days stays as credit and never expires. Full details are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
